My name is Chelsea Miller. I am the Administrative Assistant at our Milford office. I have been in the behavioral health field since 2017, when I began working for Kode Murthy MD. Upon his retirement in 2022 Fresh Start Behavioral Health Inc. continued caring for his patients.
I started in the medical field in 1995 as a phlebotomist. I started my journey with Ohio Blood Plasma as a phlebotomist, then transferred to Alpha Therapeutics as their Operations Manager of the Cincinnati donation center. I worked in this industry from 1995-2008 when Alpha Therapeutics closed and relocated out of state. From there I went to Dialysis Clinics Inc in Walnut Hills and was trained and certified as a Dialysis Technician. While I loved spending time with the patients and learning so much, this position took a lot out of me mentally and emotionally. I moved back home to Milford and switched careers. From 2011-2019 I was a State of Ohio licensed Advanced Esthetician running my own skin care suite. I started working for Dr. Kode Murthy part-time in 2017 and from 2019 until his retirement in December 2022 I was his office manager and biller.
Mental health and substance abuse disorder is the field I have been most passionate about and this is what I want to do until I’m not able to work anymore! Having a patient come in that is battling with mental health issues and watching them put in the work to get better, and enjoy their life once again is an awe-inspiring feeling! To see an addict still struggling and ready to take their life back is a testimony to their willpower, determination and strength. There is no reward greater than being a part of that process and seeing someone share their success story to help others!
There are a lot of fun things about me, but if I had to pick the most interesting and my favorite, it would be roller skating with my children and grandson. When growing up, being in the skating rink was the only time my kids didn’t fuss and argue with each other! LOL. A very close 2nd is walleye fishing with my spouse on Lake Erie or duck hunting on Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee.
